Wayne W. Stilen, age 69, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 11, 2021. He was born on December 24, 1951 to the late Maurice and Joyce (Roberts) Stilen.
Wayne graduated from Shiocton High School in 1970 and was later drafted into the US Army having served in Germany for two years during the Vietnam War.
He was united in marriage to his soulmate and love of his life, Cathy Duhm, on September 20, 1975 in Navarino. The couple celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Wayne worked at Neenah Paper/Kimberly Clark, and for many years he rode to work with his dad.
He was known for his honesty in any situation, and for his kind heart. There was a way that he could lighten any mood with a joke. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was able to go out west to Wyoming hunting, which was on his list of things he always wanted to do.
Our family has lost our "compass" with the loss of our husband, father, and grandfather. We will miss his stories and always telling us how proud he was of his family. He was constantly teaching us how to do things and giving them loving advice.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Cathy Stilen; children: Sandy (Jesse) Le Noble, Julie (Brad) Wunderlich, Wayne "Bean" Stilen, and Mike Ebben; grandchildren: Katelynn (Ryan "Shadow"), Kyle (Tanner), Jaydon, Kenley, Bryce (Felicity), Chase, Onnie, Daniel, Marah, and McKenzie. He is further survived by his siblings: Debra (Charlie) McNabb, and Steve "Bucky" Stilen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenneth (Cindy) Duhm, Paul (Laura) Duhm, Carol (David) Garcia, Sue Young, Wally Duhm, Barry (Lisa) Duhm, and Larry Duhm. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Stilen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Edna Duhm; and brother-in-law, Gary Duhm.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Burial will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Navarino.
