Obituary

Norma (Leiskau) Liesch passed into Gods loving arms Sunday, May 17th, 2020.
She was born on August 5, 1922 in the Town of Almon in Shawano Co. to proud, hard-working parents, Albert and Emma Leiskau.

Norma married her soulmate Herfert Roland Liesch in 1942. He was the love of her life and he held her heart in his hands and their souls danced together as one.
They lived a very happy life on a farm in the Town of Morris where they raised 3 beautiful children; Janet, Roger and Judy. Their love was further extended as they opened their home to a few foster children.

They retired from farming in 1965 and moved to Shawano where they lived until Herfert’s passing in 1978. In 1981, Norma then moved to Black Creek where she resided until needing extra care at Brewster Village in Appleton.

Norma’s hobbies included gardening, reading, watching movies, camping and babysitting for the grandchildren/great-grandchildren. Norma was known as “Little Grandma” by her Great-Grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by husband, Herfert Liesch (1978) and five siblings: Alice, Esther, Clarence, Harvey, Albert; granddaughter-in-law, Kathy; and great -granddaughter, Jordan Schadrie.

She is survived by her three children: Janet (Larry) Gast, Rowlett, TX; Roger (Sherry) Liesch, Appleton; Judy (Noel) Marcks, Cecil; nine grandchildren: Todd Gast and Troy Gast; Bruce (Kathy) Liesch, Brian (Barbara) Liesch, Brent (Jenifer) Liesch; Colleen (Tim) Maass, Candace (Brian) Schadrie, Crystal (Cole) Sinclair and Cole Marcks.

Norma is further survived by eighteen great-grandchildren: Tiernan Zae Asmus, Christi Albert (Jake), Sheri Wong (Matt), Anne Gordon (Emmett); Brittni Liesch, Jenna Liesch, Hagan Liesch; Emmett Liesch, Emery Liesch; Samantha Maass (Fiancé Brian Doxtator), Dillon Maass, Austin Maass; Jared (Maria) Schadrie, Jordan Schadrie (Angel), Gracie Schadrie; Max Sinclair, Bo Sinclair, Saylor Sinclair; Arabella Marcks; three great-great-grandchildren: Avery Albert, Hudson Albert and Cadence Wong.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is serving the Liesch family.

Norma Liesch was a beautiful soul. Her love for family and friends was grand. Her soul shined through with her faith in God.
Her faith is what truly lead her entire life
Norma’s heart was full of the love for Jesus.
It grew and grew until it filled her entire life with Gods love and purpose
Her soul now shines in heaven
as a bright light
of Love, Faith & Grace.
Family meant everything to Norma. Her family was another treasure that God had bestowed unto her.
The love of family and her faith is what made her soul truly sing.
The love of her children and grandchildren was so very important to Norma
They held a special spot in her heart.
She treasured the time spent with each of her three children and loves them without end.
Her grandchildren made her world
so bright and beautiful.
The love she felt from everyone made her life full.
The life lessons learned on the farm were also treasures of hers.
Farm life was very hard, but also very rewarding.
The farm was a perfect place to raise a family and to follow Gods plan for her.
Norma’s biggest lesson was to believe in herself
and her faith in God.
To follow God completely and thoroughly
& that he would never lead her astray.
She passed this great faith
onto her children & grandchildren.
Norma had unending grace.
Grace to hold on when life got difficult
Grace to overcome all the obstacles life would throw at you.
Grace & Love & Faith combined with
the Father, Son & Holy Spirit,
is what Norma was all about.
So, follow Norma’s lead.
Let your heart guide your soul.
Let the light of Jesus shine through you
& light your way to heaven.
