Michael "Mike" J. Rodriguez, age 45, of Nichols, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1976 to Kirby Rodriguez and Betty Thompson.
He was united in marriage to April Douglas on August 17, 2019.
Mike was born to work with his hands, and he loved "turning wrenches". He had a love for archery, snowmobiling, cooking on the grill, and being outdoors.
He loved life and lived every day to the fullest and had an incredible sense of humor. It was in his nature to be helpful and generous to others. It brought him great joy to have a family.
He is survived by wife, April Douglas; his children: Lucille, Natasha, and Payton; mother, Betty Thompson; father, Kirby Rodriguez; and brother, Steve (Kayla) Rodriguez. Mike is further survived by several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Anna Hegner; aunts and uncles; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Katherine and Raymond Thompson; paternal grandparents, Bridget and Donald Rodriguez; father-in-law, Wayne Douglas.
A private family service will be held for Mike. We will celebrate his life at a later date.
