Obituary

Margaret Della Leidel, 86, Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born August 10, 1935, to the late Enos and Petronella (Van Lanen) LeMere, and was raised on the family farm. She was active in 4-H during her youth. Margaret was a 1954 graduate of Green Bay West High School. She was united in marriage with Ralph A. Leidel on October 5, 1957. The couple raised eleven children on the family farm, and they guided their children with tough love, which assisted with developing their work ethic. Ralph preceded Margaret in death on July 25, 1988.

Margaret enjoyed dancing all of her life. She was able to find time to travel after her family was raised, and she cherished many vacations. Margaret's favorite travel destinations were Hawaii and Alaska.

Survivors include eleven children: Antionette Leidel, Menasha; Alan Leidel, Seymour; Stephanie (Ronald) Peterman, Pulaski; Gail (Ronald) Tauscher, Pulaski; Jeanine Pappas, Sycamore, IL; Roxane Leidel, Appleton; Paul Leidel, Appleton; Todd Leidel, Pulaski; Janet Leidel, Aurora, IL; April Aragon, Elgin, IL; and Rene (Ted) Tate, Appleton; 15 grandchildren: Monica (Sean) Ponce-McDermott, Carrie Tauscher, Aaron (Stephanie) Tauscher, Barry Tauscher, Panthea (Pete) Spyratos, Paula (Tyler) Rosin, Eric (Lauren) Aragon, Katie Tauscher, Derek Leidel, Fotis Pappas, Konstantinos Pappas, Reilly Peterman, Jared Leidel, Gavin Tate, and Avery Tate; five great-grandchildren: Harrison Gwin, Andrew Spyratos, Eliana Aragon, Kostia Spyratos, and Preston Rosin; and one sister, Lucille (William) Sobiesczyk; one brother-in-law, Floyd (Judy) Leidel; four sisters-in-law, Lois LeMere, Virginia Leidel, Carol (Gary) Counard, and Bernice "Nancy" (Wayne) LeCloux; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mayme (Dworak) Leidel; five brothers: Joseph, William (Agnes), Raymond, Paul, and James LeMere; one sister, Marie (Victor) Doyen; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harold (Marlene) Leidel, David Leidel, and Grace (Eugene) Janus.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Closing Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at St. John Catholic Church, 915 Ivory Street, Seymour, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Fr. Sengole Dass officiating, Dcn. Rich Matuszak assisting. Burial will take place at a later date at Seymour City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Muehl Public Library (436 N. Main Street, Seymour, WI 54165) would be appreciated.
