Obituary

Gladys Minnie Wichman, 95, of Seymour passed away on December 31, 2021 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living. She was born on June 9, 1926 a daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Mueller) Court.

Gladys was a life-long member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed and married, and was a member of Concordia.

She was united in marriage to Roy Wichman on June 9, 1951. Roy preceded her in death on February 27, 2008 having shared 57 years together. Gladys and Roy farmed in the town of Center where they raised their family.

Gladys loved her vegetable and flower gardens, taking care of the stray cats, and her genealogy. Family was very important to her and came before anything else.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Debbie) Wichman, Appleton: Bruce (Faye) Wichman, Appleton and Judy Koleske, Black Creek; grandchildren: Jessica (Ben) Banker, Erica (Clifton) Stephenson, Brian (Darcie) Wichman, Bradley (Sara) Wichman; Katie (Gary) Nooyen; Emily (Kevin) Sell; Nichole (Travis) Stebane, Jessica Koleske; great-grandchildren: Michael, Kyle, Lucas, and Kody Banker; CJ, Tahryn, Justin and Cameron Stephenson; Ashlyn, Mayson, and Amelia Wichman, Liam Nooyen, and Alexander Samson. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law: Elaine Court and Eunice Karweick; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Earl (Marcella) Court and Archie Court; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Fern (Kermit) Lueck, Verla (Norman) Maass, Evelyn (Stephen) Simon, Lester Karweick; son-in-law, Greg Koleske.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gladys' memory are appreciated.
