Daniel Melchert

Daniel "Danny" Melchert, 72, of Seymour passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born June 17, 1950 to the late Herbert and Martha (Lemmens) Melchert.

Danny was a friend to many, his including customers at Dan's Tire, and complete strangers that he never meet before. He was active in the community having served on the Seymour Fire Department for 33 years until his retirement in 2019. The Black Creek Sportman's Club was a place where Danny spent a lot of time and gave a lot of his talents. He was proud to serve on the Outagamie County Board on behalf of the Seymour area residents.

Danny cherished his friendships and relationships he built over the years whether it be out on his motorcycle rides or at various gun shows. Well known for his gift of gab, he was always up for a quick conversation no matter where he went.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Luke; daughter, Danielle; siblings: Herb Jr. (Shirley) Melchert, Richard (Sharon) Melchert, and Sara Melchert. He is further survived by Mary Ann's family, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

A memorial gathering in Dan's memory will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Krabbe's Kountry Klub from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please come casually dressed.
