Virginia M. Huettl, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at her home in Seymour. She was born January 23, 1922 to the late Frank and Sara (Nicodem) Kolb. On October 25, 1941 she was united in marriage to Joseph Huettl. He preceded her in death in 1998.

Ginny was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour where she was a member of Christian Mothers. She also was a member of the Seymour American Legion Auxiliary. Virginia started the hot lunch program at Seymour High School in 1955; she continued cooking for St. John's funeral luncheons and chicken dinners for 50 years. Ginny was a cook at the Seymour Hotel, famous for her fish fries, smorgasbords and chicken. She also enjoyed time spent with friends and family.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Sara (Robert) Helein, Muskego, WI; Mary Jo (Donald) Stonek, Lakeworth, FL; son-in-law, Roger DeGroot, Menominee, MI; grandchildren: Joe (Sheila) DeGroot, Susan (Jeff) House, Nicole (Jason) Richard, Kristen (Jake) Ziemba, Jason (Stephanie) Stonek and Jennifer Stonek; great-grandchildren: Katherine, Lauryn, Ryla, Jordan, Ethan, Addison and William. She is further survived by 2 sisters: Germaine (Cliff) Corby, Sylvia (Edwin) Belschner, both of Green Bay; 1 brother, Lavern (Marion) Kolb, Wisconsin Rapids; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Huettl and Sylvia Vande Corput, both of Seymour and Bev Kolb, Freedom.

She was preceded in death by: one daughter, Karla DeGroot, infant brother, Vernon; 2 brothers, Richard and Frank Kolb; 1 sister, Irene.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 4 PM until 7 PM with Women's Auxiliary at 6:30 PM and a prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday , December 6, 2008 from 10 AM until funeral services at 11 AM with Father Robert Kabat officiating. Entombment in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum, Green Bay.
