Vernon Sachs

Vernon C. Sachs, 94, Appleton, passed away at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born on August, 12, 1927, to the late Otto and Laura (Meyer) Sachs. Vernon was united in marriage to Marcella Prilepp on October 14, 1954. After their marriage, Vernon bought the family farm. He had dairy and livestock and farmed until August 28, 1983.

Vernon enjoyed listening to Polka music, and meeting and talking to people. He liked spending time with his dogs and cats. Vernon's greatest passion in life was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marcella Sachs; one son, Terry Sachs; one daughter, Barbara (Jim) LaPlant; one brother-in-law, Tony Brunner; one sister-in-law, Judy Sachs; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Wesley (Jenny) Sachs and Roger Sachs; one sister, Arlene (Ralph) Kneisler; one sister-in-law, Carol Brunner; and one brother-in-law, Carl (Donna) Prilepp.

A private funeral service will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Pastor Mark Gartner officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
