Vernon Evenson, age 85, of Shiocton passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at ThedaCare Regional Hospital, Appleton following a brief illness. Vernon was born on April 21, 1937 son of the late Even and Viola (Reinhardt) Evenson.
He was united in marriage on May 26, 1962 to Beverly Allen. She preceded him in death on November 28, 2006.
He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. His happiest time was the moments he spent with his family.
Vernon is survived by his children: Andrew (Janet) Evenson, Veronica (Vince) Malueg, Aaron Evenson; grandchildren: Nicole Evenson, Kristin Evenson, Jason (Courtney) Evenson, Scott (Hannah) Malueg, Kyle (Desiree) Malueg; great-grandchildren: TJ Evenson and Addison Evenson; brother, Don (Jane) Evenson; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Barbara Erb, Carol Herb, Diane (August) Frenche.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Evenson; sister, Eleanor (Sader) Breitenfeldt; sisters-in-law: Kathryn (Dale) Tubbs, Geraldine Young; brothers-in-law, Lew Erb and Raymond Herb.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral, Seymour on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 10:30 am with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Burial will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Navarino with military honors.
