Vernon Court

Vernon Court, age 89, went to his eternal peace on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Vernon was born on March 16, 1934 to Clarence and Gladys (Sigl) Court in Seymour, WI. He was a graduate of Seymour High School in 1952. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he was a proud Korean War Veteran. Vernon was united in marriage to Nancy Kaufert on August 31, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha, WI.

Vernon worked for Neenah Paper, Kimberly Clark for 37 years as a Lab Technician (Quality Control). While working for Neenah Paper, he enjoyed teaching not only his boys but youth throughout the area how paper was made. Vern also attended Fox Valley Technical Institute to earn his Real Estate License and further worked as a real estate appraiser for many years after retirement. He was an elected Alderman in the City of Seymour for two terms.

He enjoyed coaching his sons in Little League as well as leading their Cub Scouts troops. He loved watching the Brewers, Timber Rattlers and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed taking numerous motorcoach tours throughout the years with Nancy visiting sights around the United States. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Vern is survived by Nancy (Kaufert) Court, three sons, Roger (Katy), Michael (Carla), Mark (Linnaea). Grandchildren - Brittany (Alexander) Stewart, Cheyanne Giles, Paul (Samantha) Court, Jane (Ronn) Elliott, Matthew (Nicole Dean) Court, Casandra Court. Great Grandchildren - Aubree, Tucker, Graham, Emily, Joanna, William, Miles, and Beckett. He is further survived by his half brother Maynard Baake, and godsons Corey (Melanie) Simon and Tom (Christine) Northam as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Clarence (Flora Jean) Court, mother Gladys Baake, Nancy's parents, Clarence (Dorothy) Kaufert, Nancy's brothers Ken, Dave, Richard, and Robert Kaufert, and sister, Judy Simon.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 South Main Street, Seymour, WI on Saturday November 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM with Services to follow at 11:00 AM. Military honors by the Freedom VFW following the service.

Private interment at South Cicero Cemetery.
