Terry John Miller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Terry, or "Mr. Wonderful," as he fondly called himself, was born on August 17, 1945, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to William and Lorraine (Murphy) Miller. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1963 and enlisted in the National Guard shortly afterward. In 1967, he began his career as an ironworker, a profession in which he excelled for 34 years before retiring in 2001.
Later that same year, Terry met the love of his life, Lynne Schramer. He moved to the Redgranite area shortly afterward, where he and Lynne started a small farm together. Over the years, they cared for many horses, his miniature donkey, Sally, his miniature goat, Billy, numerous raccoons, and even a woodchuck. They were married in 2011 and built a life filled with love, family, animals, and many cherished memories.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne; his sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Tom Schroeder; his sons, Shawn (Jenn) Miller and Devon (Sarah) Miller, and his grandchildren, Robby (Taylor) Miller and Jordy and Brooks Miller.
He is also survived by his stepchildren, John (Brenda) Roskom, Jeremy (Janet) Roskom, Tim (Alicia) Herides, and Tracy (James) Blake; his step-grandchildren, Vanessa (Jared), Brandon (Joy), Johnathan (Veronica), Brody (Yeng), Tory (Eric), Tara and many beloved great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Cody Miller.
One of Terry's greatest gifts was not something that could be built with his hands, but rather the lesson of how to give unconditionally. Terry was always the first to lend a hand to someone who truly needed it, and he never expected anything in return. His generosity was not something he talked about, it was simply who he was.
Terry wished to extend a special thank you to the Iron Workers Retiree Club for the many years of friendship, fellowship, and enjoyment it brought him.
Terry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, generous spirit, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Terry will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday July 20th at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Schroeder officiating followed by Military Honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home SUNDAY from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and MONDAY from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Terry will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Terry's name.
