Stephen Buch

Stephen Buch, age 77, died at his home surrounded by his family and friends Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Stephen was born to Charles H. and Ruth H. (Hamilton) Buch. He lived his childhood in Chilton and Green Bay. He lived in Seymour since his marriage to Jane Barfknecht in 1991. He worked as an engineer/mechanical designer at Mercury Marine and then Fosber America until his retirement from Fosber in 2011.

Stephen's lifelong interests and passions were for sail boat racing, skate and ski sailing, ice boating and ultralight flying. He had a glider license as well. He loved wood working and fixing anything automotive, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic. He and Jane were mentors for Marcus through the Outagamie County Pals program for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter Emily Buch; brothers Bob Buch, Al Buch; brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass for Stephen will take place at St. John Catholic Church in Seymour on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Sengole Dass, O.Praem and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Memorial visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Stephen's family encourages donations to the Salvation Army or the Seymour Public Library.
