Shirley Lardinois

January 30, 1936 — August 19, 2021

Shirley Lardinois, age 85, Shawano, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 19, 2021, with family members at her side. She was born on January 30, 1936, to the late Julius and Ella (Hanson) Pedersen. Shirley was united in marriage on November 5, 1955, to Arnold "Arnie" Lardinois. Arnie preceded Shirley in death on November 2, 2009.

After and while raising her six children Shirley drove school bus for Huettl Transfer in Seymour. She also worked for a number of years at Good Shepherd Services in Seymour. After moving to Shawano, she worked at Walmart until she retired.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed lunches with her two brothers and her sister on a regular basis. Holiday gatherings were very special to Shirley. She was a master at setting up Easter Egg hunts, treasure hunts, and her famous and often anticipated "scavenger hunts." Shirley loved playing board games and card games with her children and grandchildren. She really enjoyed having all the "kids" around, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was the backbone of the family, and she kept us in line while making life good for all of us.

She is survived by her children: Terry (Patti) Lardinois, Seymour, Susan (Dan) Smith, Pulaski, Cindy Huth (special friend, Dave Detiege), Little Suamico, Jim (Karla) Lardinois, White Lake, Laurie Ward, Freedom, and Dan Lardinois, Shawano; eleven grandchildren: Pam (Travis) Baranczyk, Scott (Amanda) Lardinois, Mike (Leah) Lardinois, Beth (Dave) Oginski, Jeremy Huth, David (Katie) Lardinois, Robin (Tony) Oczus, Heather Lardinois, Nickolas Ward, Amanda Lardinois, and Ashley Lardinois; eleven great-grandchildren: Lexi, Beau, Brax, Gavin, Wyatt, Hunter, Carter, Maddox, Piper, Maxwell, and Journee; three siblings: Ron (Polly) Pedersen, Gary (Joanne) Pedersen, and Doris Brack; one brother-in-law, Richard Lardinois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends of the family.
