Sally Joan Wickesberg, age 79, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1946, in Kaukauna, WI, to the late John and Lucille (Bingen) Goldapske.
Sally was united in marriage to Dennis Wickesberg on August 13, 1966, and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage. She was blessed with seven children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. For over 45 years, Sally farmed alongside her husband, Dennis, and later went on to work at Aurora BayCare until her retirement.
Sally enjoyed riding her lawnmower, baking, cooking, gardening, and watching her beloved silent films. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her children and especially her grandchildren. No one ever left Sally's home with an empty belly.
Sally is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Wickesberg; and her children: Denise White, Jen (Joe) Theys, Samuel (Michelle) Wickesberg, Clinton (Sheila) Wickesberg, Matthew Wickesberg (special friend Kerry).
She is further survived by her grandchildren: Kayla White (special friend Charlie), Mark White, Tabitha Geen, Alex Theys (special friend Jayleen), Courtney Theys (special friend Sadie), Summer Theys, Sawyer Wickesberg, Claire Wickesberg, Bella Theys, and Laura Theys; and her beautiful great-granddaughter, Evangeline. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, John and Lucille Goldapske, she was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in-law, Carlton and Frances (Tuschl) Wickesberg; her siblings Doris (Bob) Verbeten, MaryAnn Goldapske, and James (Jean) Goldapske; her brother-in-law Steve Wickesberg and sister-in-law Joyce Wickesberg; her nephew Jimmy Goldapske; and her two children, Gary and Katie Wickesberg.
Funeral services for Sally will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday January 23rd at 5:00 PM with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the time of services. Private interment at a later date.
