Ruth (Hansen) Eisch

Ruth Eisch, 82, of Green Bay passed away on March 8 at Grancare Nursing Center. The daughter of the late Clyde and Noreen Hansen (Deviley), Ruth was born January 7, 1926, in Green Bay. Ruth was affectionately known by her friends as "Poofer" in her younger days. On September 27, 1947, she married Adalbert (Del) Eisch at St. Joseph Church in Green Bay. The couple resided near Briarton until Del's death in 1982. Shortly thereafter, Ruth moved to Green Bay. Ruth worked many years at the Kresge store in the Green Bay Plaza. After retirement, Ruth volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital and St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. She also spent many joyful hours with her grandchildren. She spent many happy hours crocheting afghans as gifts for many people.

Ruth is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Alfredo Ramirez, Green Bay; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Judy Eisch, Briarton; 4 grandchildren: Ellen (Greg) Wells, Eric (Jessica) Eisch, Carlos Ramirez, and Carmen Ramirez; step grandchildren: Jenny (Dave) Van Schyndel and Steve (special friend Annette) Poellot. Ruth is also survived by 5 great grandchildren: Lydia Eisch, Emma and Abby Wells, Kyla and Tygan Van Schyndel. In addition, she is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Carol and Keith Van Ark, Barbara and Wayne VanderPutten; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceeded in death by her husband, Del; a sister Toodles (Leon) Santy; a brother Vilas "Butch" (Elaine) Hansen, and an infant brother Donald.

Friends may call at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino from 9:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, with funeral service at 11:00 with burial in the church cemetery following with Sister Jane Riha officiating.
