Russell Wayne Stingle

December 9, 1960 — June 2, 2026

Russ or better known as "Chopper" by friends, passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on June 2nd, 2026, at his home after a 22-month battle with cancer. Born to Dennis & Mildred Stingle (Black Creek), Russ was the youngest of 5 children. He attended school in Black Creek through 8th grade and Seymour High school through the 12th grade.

Russ worked for Outagamie Producers- Alto Dairy- Saputo Cheese for 40 years until semi-retirement. He then began work at Crystal Springs Golf Course and stayed there until his battle with cancer began. He loved working with "The Guys" and was saddened when he couldn't return. No matter if it was at the golf course or at home, he loved mowing and all the neighbors knew it, even earning the "Mow Man" name given to him by his wife.

March of 1980 Russ was united in marriage to Patti Seidl. A little over 14 months later, they welcomed their pride and joy, Angela. Angie followed in her father's footsteps with bat and ball in hand through their school years playing baseball and softball. Today, our 2 granddaughters are following in those same footsteps playing softball for Shiocton School and Summer ball. Russ loved to watch the girls play not only softball, but all the sports they were in.

Russ was talented in working with wood, making and creating cabinets, TV stands, Bear tables, welcome signs and so much more. He loved fishing, ATV trail riding, camping, gardening or just sitting by the campfire in our oasis back yard we built together. Russ was someone that would start up a conversation with anyone, people camping near us, people walking past the house, people tending to the local gas stations, he would talk at length about anything.

Survivors include: His wife Patti of 46 years, daughter Angie (Steven) Beilfuss and their daughters Brenna and Makenna. He is further survived by his mother Mildred Stingle, sister Jean (Tom) Banker, brother Bill Stingle, mother-in-law Marilyn Seidl Lorenz, sisters-in-law: Terri True, Cindy (Randy) Samson, Debbie (Tom Woulf) Seidl, and Katie Collins, along with many nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Stingle, 2 sisters: Linda Tubbs & Melody Stephani, fathers-in-law Thomas Seidl and Edward Lorenz, and brother-in-law Fred True.

A celebration of Russ's life will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday June 14th at 4:00 PM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Russ will be laid to rest at a later date.

Our family would like to extend our thanks to ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center and ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate care, especially nurse Katie and CNA Macey.

A very special thank you to family and friends for helping to get Russ to and from appointments, keeping our driveway clean of snow, and the upkeep of the lawn and gardens. I couldn't have done it without all of YOU!
