Rosetta M. Abel, age 91, of Black Creek passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour.
She was born December 12, 1916 to Henry and Nora (Sassman) Brandt in Black Creek.
She was united in marriage to Harold Abel on May 24, 1948. Rosetta was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Black Creek were she was a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and active in the Women's Guild. Together with her husband they owned and operated Brandt Implement beginning in 1958.
Rosetta is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Valerie Abel of Black Creek; a granddaughter Leisha of Black Creek; sister Marion Freemore of Seymour; sister-in-laws Elaine Brandt of Black Creek and Shirley (Roger) Habeck of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; her parents; a grandson Karl; brother Roy Brandt, and an infant brother.
Friends may call to Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at St. John United Church of Christ in Black Creek from 10 AM until services at 11 AM with Reverend Don Baumann officiating.
