Roger Buckner

March 14, 1943 — December 20, 2020

Roger B. Buckner, age 77, of Seymour, passed away peacefully with family at his side at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, December 20th, 2020.
The son of the late Enoch and Emerine (Conto) Buckner, Roger was born March 14th, 1943, in White Lake. He was later united in marriage to Marilyn Buckner, having celebrated over 35 years of marriage until her passing on September 26th, 2010.
A Psychology Major at the University of Oshkosh, Roger retired after decades of faithful service from Fabco Equipment in Green Bay. He was a God-fearing man and, as a devout Catholic, was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Seymour.
Like his late wife, Marilyn, Roger dedicated his life to raising his grandson Nathan for 16 years. Even in retirement, Roger was a hard worker, having worked for the Salvation Army and delivering a local newspaper as well as volunteering to deliver Meals-on-Wheels while he was physically able. He was a very loving and giving person who helped others in any way he could.
He is survived by his son Michael and daughter-in-law Michele Buckner (Texas), long-time extended family member, Tina Collins (Seymour), and 5 grandchildren: Madison Buckner (Texas), Austin Buckner (Texas), Joshua Shoup (Texas), Nicole Shoup (Texas), and Nathan Webster (Seymour).

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn Buckner; and daughter, Melissa Buckner.
Special thanks to those who recently assisted Roger with his care to include the staff at St Vincent's Hospital (Green Bay), St Mary's Hospital (Green Bay), Good Shepard Rehab (Seymour), Crossroads Rehab (Green Bay), and Cedar Park Memorial Hospital (Cedar Park, Texas).
