Robert Julius

Robert "Bob" A. Julius, 79, town of Maine passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born on November 11, 1945 to the late Warren and Cordella (Frank) Julius.

Following his high school graduation from Wabasso High School in Minnesota, Bob enlisted in the United States Marine Corps proudly serving his country from 1963 to 1967.

Prior to his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps he worked with close friends, the Knott family, on their farm. After his discharge Bob went back to work on the Knott family farms in the Wabasso and Fairfax area.

On March 27, 1976 he was united in marriage to Susan Gore and the couple celebrated 49 years together.

Bob went on to school to learn HVAC. It was a successful career for him as he stayed in the field until his retirement in 2004. He had a hobby farm that he used his draft horses to farm with.

He always enjoyed the wonderful times spent with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Susan; children: Dan (Janelle) Julius, Renee Webb, Ann Julius, and Will (Renee) Julius; grandchildren: Mady (Riley) Velpel, Laney (fiancé Jason Huskey) Julius, Ava, and Eli Julius, Trent Brown, Taylor Webb, Breanna Lowe, Natalie, Gabby, Hailey, and Dominic Julius; sister, Barbara Goblirsch; half-siblings: Heather, Shane, and Adam. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie (Alan) Hammerschmidt; brother, Jerry Julius; brother-in-law, Donovan Goblirsch; other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Bob will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 9:30am until the funeral service at 11:00am. Military honors to follow.
