GOSSE, ROBERT E.

Robert E. Gosse, age 69, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA. He was born on May 22, 1939 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of the late Elmer C. and Marion (Schultz) Gosse. On September 18, 1971 he was united in marriage with Mary Louise Gendron in Louisville, KY.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He received his JD degree January 21, 1967 and his BS in Electrical Engineering in June 10, 1963. After graduation, Robert moved to Washington, D.C., where he was employed as an attorney in a number of offices of the Federal Communications Commission, most recently in the Commission's International Bureau, where he was responsible for the planning of new international telecommunications facilities.

Robert retired from the Commission in July 1996, after 29 years of dedicated government service. Robert enjoyed photography, electronics, reading and keeping in touch with old friends.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise; brother, Dr. Richard E. (Karen) Gosse; sister, Mary (David) Maass; two nieces, Dena Gosse and Emily (Matthew) Grimmer; and nephew, Jeffrey (Cara) Gosse. Two Uncles, Emil Gosse and Willard Reese; an Aunt, Freida (Don) Feurig and several cousins.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 4 PM until funeral services at 7 PM. Burial will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at South Cicero cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
