Robert "Bob" Charles Anderson
On the early morning of July 19th, 2018, Robert Anderson, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Seymour, Wisconsin, he was surrounded by his family.
Robert was born May 22, 1939 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1957. He married Janice (Schadrie) April 23, 1960 in De Pere, Wisconsin. They had been happily married for 55 years. He worked in the paper industry for 30 years before retiring as a Purchasing Manager at Lachet Instruments, in Hartland, Wisconsin in 2002. Bob enjoyed his large family and cherished his time with them to the very end. He was a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder since 1960. In 1992, Bob became the “Boss” of the NASCAR Gang. He traveled to many race tracks to meet up with members. For many years he, his sons, sons-in-law and many friends would travel to the Michigan International Speedway for Father’s Day weekend. He loved the outdoors whether it was puttering around the lake, tubing or fishing. He loved working on family history, compiled and written family trees and kept a daily Journal since 1981. One of his favorite projects was working on the diary “From Ahnapee to the Sea” which told the story of both of his Great Grandfathers who fought in the Civil War. He also enjoyed art and did illustrations for the Green Bay Press Gazette. He also enjoyed traveling and wintering with Janice in Arizona. They spent 12 winters at Pioneer Park in Anthem, AZ. He is survived by his Children: Barbara (Patrick) Widule, Cynthia (Brian) Minten, Lori (Lewis) Wagner, Keith (Roni) Anderson, Robert (Shelley) Anderson, Carol (John) Topp and Timothy (Debbie) Anderson; grandchildren; Robby and Matt Widule, Natasha Anderson, Natalia Rodriguez, Jordyn Frank, Brianna VanHaaster, Larrissa Wagner, Bryan Anderson, Corey Anderson, Brent LaDuke, Zach Anderson, Christopher and Cennah Anderson, Krista, Jamie and Kacey Topp, Cameron and Rachel Anderson. Robert is further survived by 13 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters: Peggy Balli, James (Patricia) Anderson, Betty Anderson, and Dale (Mary) Anderson and their children.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Janice, his parents, Charles and Eileen Anderson, stepmother Joyce, sisters Sally McWashington, Patricia Anderson and a nephew Brian Timm.
Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, N5589 County Road E, De Pere, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 28, 2018 with Fr. John Chrysostom Katamba officiating. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, West De Pere, Wisconsin.
