Richard Wendt

Richard C. Wendt, 86 of Lakewood passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born February 3, 1939 to the late Mae and George Wendt.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janet; four children: Julie Blohm, Rhonda (fiance, Mike Jahnel) Abel, Sarah (special friend, Scott Huff) Wendt, and Troy (Sandy) Wendt. He has 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchldren. Also survived by one sister, Mae (Dale Sr.) Daelke and a brother, Everette (Diane) Wendt; sister-in-law, Jeanette Wendt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and three sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
