Penny Van Camp

Penny Van Camp, age 67, of Black Creek passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Penny was born on September 30, 1957 to the late Roger and Marian (Henn) Bessett. She was united in marriage to Donald Van Camp on November 24, 1978 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville.

She enjoyed working on puzzles, and was an avid cookie jar and salt and pepper shaker collector.

Penny is survived by her husband, Donald; seven children: Sara (Adam), Roger (Bobbi Jo), Donald Jr. (Karen), Adam (Jessica), Jake (June), Katie (Tyler), and Cory (Tracy); 13 grandchildren: Kody, Riley, Jaden, Austin, Paige, Lexi, Dylon, Ashlyn, Logan, Elizabeth, Alycia, Austin, Gianna, Henry, Charlie, and Sam; 2 great-grandchildren: Nash and Benjamin. Further survived by her siblings: Charlotte (Don), Valerie, Rodney (Kathy) Bessett , Sheila, and Paula (Marty); father-in-law, Ervin Van Camp; brother-in-law, Ronald; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Kenny); nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Van Camp; brother-in-law, Tim Van Camp.

A celebration of Penny's life will take place at a later date.
