Paul Jurgens

Paul G. Jurgens, 73, of Seymour passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Bellin Hospital. He was born on February 26, 1949 son of late Walter and Marcia (Court) Jurgens.

Paul graduated from Seymour Community High School in 1967. He married Christine Bundgaard on October 6, 1973, having celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage.

Paul enjoyed working on the family farm, and he later spent 20 years as Department Head of the farm department at Fleet Farm until his retirement.

He rarely missed watching a Brewer, Packer, or Badger football game. The gun deer season was Paul's favorite time of the year to spend with the hunters in the family. His wife and family, especially his granddaughters, meant the world to him.

Paul is survived by his wife, Chris; son, Mike (Missy) Jurgens; daughter, Amy Jurgens; granddaughters: Alyssa and Nicolina; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Marie (Dave) Thiel and Karen (Dave) Carew; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David; infant brother, Mark; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Palle and Nicoline Bundgaard.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour.
