Patricia Jean (Pat) Theobald, 85, passed away November 3rd, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends in her final days.
Pat was born on April 26th, 1941 daughter of Edward and Etta (Peterson ) Nehring. She was a graduate of Clintonville High School, class of 1959.
Patricia was united in marriage on November 11th, 1961, to Jerome "Pete" Theobald. Together for 65 years, they had five sons, and established Theobald Gardens.
Pat had several part time jobs over the years, but was most dedicated to raising her family and help manage the produce business. She understood the value of hard work, patience, and the beauty of watching something grow. Her hands were rarely still. Whether tending to the garden, sewing something special, knitting with care, arranging flowers or turning the page of a beloved book, she found joy in creating beauty and bringing comfort to those around her.
She was a woman whose life was rooted in faith, family, hard work, and love. As a devoted mother, she filled her home with warmth, wisdom, laughter, and the quiet presence that made everyone feel they belonged. May we take comfort knowing that in the life she lived, deep in faith, has led her home to the loving arms of God. May she now rest in the peace of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, four sons: Jim, Steve (Shelli), Joe ( Deb), Greg (Dawn); daughter-in-law Linda; grandchildren Eric Bombinski, Mackenzie (Derek) Verhasselt, Casey, Tyler (Amy), and Allison Theobald, and great-grandchildren: Madison, Austin, Raelyn, Kaden, Crew, Marshall, Gracie, Gabby, Gianna, Willis, and Max. Pat is further survived by her in-laws Ruth Theobald, Wilfred Theobald, Sylvester (Rita) Theobald, Kelly Theobald, Ray (Anita) Theobald, Carol Theobald and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Albert (Margareth); son Douglas; siblings June (George), Sally (Jim), Norma (Marcel), Hazel (Ed), Eunice (Larry), Gordis (Arnie), Gordon (Jean), and Margaret (Duane), and in-laws Norbert, Jeannette, Gene, Donald Theobald, and Jim and Barbara Crawford.
Pat's family would like to extend a special thank you to Good Shepherd Nursing Home for the care Pat received during her stay.
