Pamela Bruecker

March 2, 1959 — November 27, 2021

Pamela (Pam) Bruecker, 62, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, with her husband by her side. The daughter of the late Glen and Bonnie (Little) Lillge was born March 2, 1959, in Appleton, Wisconsin.

She grew up in Center Valley and graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1977. After graduation, Pam attended FVTC for accounting. She was a very competitive and athletic person. She enjoyed playing on her high school tennis team. She played softball and volleyball. Pam was united in marriage to Hugh Bruecker at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour on January 20, 1996. During their 25 years of marriage, Pam and Hugh helped each other live each day to the fullest.

Pam worked for Appleton Papers for 34 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed giving back to her community. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano and volunteered as a Zion Quilter. She was a member of the Cloverleaf Lakes Protective Association served as secretary for a time. She was also a member of the Cloverbares Snowmobile Club and the Cloverleaf Fireworks.

When she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer in 2009, Pam made the choice to be a fighter. She was a miracle and a testament to how we all should live our lives. She had faith and strength and spread it to everyone she could. She participated every year in the Relay for Life. One of her favorite memories was sharing a poem she wrote about her husband.

Pam enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. She spent time playing in pool leagues and cribbage tournaments. She enjoyed camping trips, boat rides on the lake, motorcycle rides and going to concerts with Hugh and their friends. She took pleasure in gardening and watching her plants grow into beautiful flowers and food. She had fun rummage sale shopping with her mom.

Most of all though, Pam enjoyed her time with family. She and Hugh raised their kids to spread their wings and experience life. Combining a family is never easy, but they taught their kids to love hard, work hard, and to celebrate the little things. They planned trips each year to visit Colorado, Indiana, and Michigan. They made sure they got to see the grandchildren doing something they love. Pam would create picture books when she got home and write down details about their trips. Most recently, she and Hugh traveled out to Denver to celebrate their grandson, Holden's fourth birthday. The 4th of July was a time for celebration at the lake. Pam and Eric came up with the idea of celebrating "Christmas in July", because it was a time that everyone could be together. She loved Eric's cooking and enjoyed spending time with him in the kitchen when he visited. She enjoyed holiday games of Sheepshead and Left-Right-Center with her brothers and sisters and going house to house to see everyone's decorations.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh Bruecker; mother, Bonnie Lillge; three children: Eric (Jashini) Larson of Denver, Colorado; Angela (Jeff) Martin of Terre Haute, Indiana; and Jacquelyn (Robert) Vore of Blissfield, Michigan; six grandchildren: Holden Larson, Emma, Blake and Saige Martin, and Evan and Caleb Vore; one sister, Cindy (Jeff) Lillge; three brothers: Kevin (Dina) Lillge, Craig (Sara) Lillge, and Doug (Beth) Lillge; one nephew, Chad (Nikki) Lillge; one niece, Bridget (Josh) Lillge; sister-in-law, Anna Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Lillge; grandparents: Will and Gert Lillge, Don and Zetta Little; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur and Janet Bruecker; sister-in-law, Alice Griswold; and brothers-in-law: John and Andrew Bruecker.
