Noel Marcks

January 17, 1950 — November 10, 2022

Noel Lee Marcks, 72, Black Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center in New London. He was born on January 17, 1950, to the late Harvey and Jeanette (Ort) Marcks. He was a 1968 graduate of Seymour High School.

He was united in marriage to Judy Liesch on August 31, 1969, in Shawano, celebrating their 53rd anniversary this year. Noel was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil. Noel was a farmer for many years and in 1984 he co-founded and was president of L&M Industries, which was one of the first liquid manure application businesses in Wisconsin. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Nichols Rural Fire Department for many years and was the chairman in the town of Cicero.

Noel's dream was to fly and he earned his pilot's license. He enjoyed flying his plane, power parachute, and gyrocopter. Noel loved camping, four wheeling, and boating with his children and grandchildren.

Noel's greatest joy in life was his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his whole heart. They were so very precious to him. He leaves a legacy of love behind him that runs as deep as the ocean. His soul is flying on the wings of God and Jesus.

He is survived by wife, Judy Marcks, Black Creek; his children: Colleen Marcks, De Pere; and her children: Samantha (Brian) Doxtator, Dillon Maass, and Austin Maass; Candace Schadrie, Appleton; and her children: Jared (Maria) Schadrie, Gracie Schadrie and angel granddaughter, Jordan Schadrie (2001-2019); Crystal (Cole) Sinclair, Bedford, IN; and her children: Max, Beau, and Saylor; Cole Marcks, Black Creek; and his daughter, Arabella; former sons-in-law: Tim Maass, Seymour; and Brian Schadrie, Clintonville; siblings: Phillip (Bonnie) Marcks, Shawano; Brian Marcks, Baton Rouge, LA; Judy (Tom) Collins, Brookfield; Nathan (Darlene) Marcks, Lakeland, TN; Melody Marcks, Fayetteville, AR; and Ellen Petanitis, Eau Claire; one sister-in-law, Margie Marcks, Black Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jordan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herfert and Norma (Leiskau) Liesch; his brother, Steve Marcks; and brother-in-law Jim Thulin.
