Merlin W. Holtz, age 75, passed away January 25, 2010 at his home. He was born September 21, 1934 son of the late Walter Holtz and Leona (Peters) Wismer. On June 1, 1957 he was united in marriage to Beverly A. Schroeder in Black Creek.

Merlin was a self-employed hog farmer and also worked with Center Valley CO-OP. He spent many enjoyable hours with his family in the woods. Merlin enjoyed his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He also enjoyed sharing his vision of angels and of Jesus with everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly; and their three son and their families: Lee (Robin), Green Bay; Chris, Melissa and great-grandson Walter; Robert (Mary), Burlington; Jacob (Theresa), Joshua, Elizabeth, Danny (Wanda), Seymour; Brandon, Brentt; brother Cyril (Marilyn), Black Creek; sister-in-law Darlie Holtz, Freedom; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dennis (Anne) Schroeder, Appleton; William (Diane) Schroeder, New London; Darlene Naumann, Appleton; Sally Schroeder, Appleton; Mary (Gary Guyette, Weyauwega; all the nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and family.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery on September 21, 1978, mother and father-in-law Harvey and Kathryne (Schwister) Schroeder.

Friends may call at Assembly of God Church, Seymour on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 9:30 AM until funeral services at Noon with Reverend Phil Engle officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
