Mary Strack

July 2, 1924 — October 14, 2023

Mary Elizabeth Strack, age 99, formerly of Black Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Ivy Manor in Jackson, WI. The daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Weisenger) Weber was born July 2, 1924, in New London. On August 26, 1943, she was united in marriage to Orville Strack in Mississippi, and the couple had two sons. Orville preceded Mary in death in 1984.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and others. She also had a passion for gardening and belonged to garden clubs in various communities. Bowling was an outing she enjoyed with her husband and other couples. She cherished her relationships with many good friends and had a soft spot in her heart for purebred collies. Mary's faith in God was always important to her and she enjoyed singing in her church choir.

Survivors include two sons: Daniel (Kathy) Strack and Dennis (Sherry) Strack; four grandchildren: Dennis Jr (Alisa) Strack, Michelle Wooten, Scott Strack, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Strack; seven great-grandchildren: Chloe, Seth, Benjamin, Lainey, Addie, Isabel, and Eliot; two sisters: Fran Huhn and Ruth (Walter) Binder; one sister-in-law, Bernice Weber; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer Strack; one great-granddaughter, Ella Strack; one sister, Rose (Don) Theyel; five brothers: Jake (Winnie), Edward (Gloria), Roy (Lilly Jo), Adam, and Tony (Carol) Weber.

Private family services for Mary will take place with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Black Creek.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Ivy Manor, the Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice.

The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of Ivy Manor and Preceptor Hospice for their compassionate care.
