Mary Klass

July 31, 1957 — July 10, 2025

Mary A. Klass, age 67, of Jordan, MN and previously of Seymour, WI passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 with her family beside her. She was born on July 31, 1957 to the late Vernon and Evelyn (Mastey) Lubinski. On October 23, 1981 she was united in marriage to Patrick Klass of Marinette, WI.

Mary attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI, where she met her husband Patrick, promptly beating him in a doubles tennis match and winning a steak dinner. Mary received her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School and became an attorney at Lubinski, Rottier, Reed, and Klass Law Firm in Seymour, WI where she practiced until retirement. She was active and engaged in her community, keen to help others by encouraging them to think critically and demonstrate kindness to one another. Mary often lent her skills and time to community development projects, volunteering with children, and donating to those in need.

Mary was highly attuned to the natural and spiritual world. She often found peace and clarity in nature. She enjoyed practicing yoga, traveling, discussing a good book, and exploring her spirituality. Mary was a skilled artist and writer, loved spending time in the garden, and adored her family and friends. She was always looking for ways to make the world a better place.

Mary will continue to serve as the voice of compassion and reason for her family, sending gentle reminders to stay true to oneself and do right by all living things.

She will be incredibly missed.

Mary is survived by her husband, Patrick Klass; son, Steve (Abby) Klass and her two grandchildren (Mason, 9 and Taylor, 5); daughter, Joanna Klass; siblings Richard (Donna) Lubinski, Jane (John) Clegg, Robert Lubinski, and Ann (Randy) Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Evelyn Lubinski; sister-in-law, Kathi Lubinski; father- and mother-in-law Robert and Jacqueline Klass; sister-in-law, Susan (Klass) Johnston; and brother-in-law, William Johnston.
