Marvin Richard Druckrey

Pastor M. Richard Druckrey, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2026 at Lakeshore Manor at the age of 82. Born on September 2, 1943, at the Richland Center Hospital, was the second child of Marvin H. and Vivian E. (Schaumberg) Druckrey. From a young age, Dick felt a calling to serve God, a passion nurtured at Big Hollow Lutheran Church and through involvement in the Luther League, Luther League Convention in Miami, FL, and work experience at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, WI.

Dick pursued this calling diligently, graduating from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and then Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA with a degree in Master of Divinity, preparing for a life dedicated to ministry. He interned at the Prince of Peace Church in Seattle, WA and served as a Chaplain at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. His passion in the church was through the youth groups and confirmation. He loved the trips he took with his youth groups, like the Mississippi River Boat Cruise, Camping at Boundary Water, and Luther League National Conventions.

Dick served faithfully as associate pastor at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Racine, WI and senior pastor St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Random Lake, WI and St. John's Lutheran Church in Stone Bank, WI. He led with wisdom, taught confirmation, and inspired countless lives through Bible studies, sermons, ministries, and youth outreach.

Beyond the pulpit, Dick was devoted to family and friends. He enjoyed being at his cottage in Ortonville, MN. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and unwavering belief in Jesus Christ, impacting everyone that he met through the years.

After retirement, Dick moved to the family farm in Pulcifer, WI where he continued to teach confirmation classes and did supply preaching for churches in Oconto Falls, Oconomowoc, and throughout Shawano County. He continued his Chaplain service at St. Luke's Hospital and volunteered at the local food bank. He also continued his beloved trips to his cottage in Minnesota.

Dick is survived by his brothers; Robert (Jean) Druckrey and Daniel (Mona) Druckrey, his sisters; Elizabeth (Jerry) Stempinski, Mary (Monte) Ewing, and Deborah (Michael) Anderson, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and godchildren. He was preceded in death by Marvin H. and Vivian E. (Schaumberg) Druckrey, David and Donna (Kovars) Druckrey, his nephew Thomas Druckrey, and niece Julie (Druckrey) Harms.

A visitation will be held at Emmanual Lutheran Church in Seymour, WI, on August 7th, 2026 at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. A private interment will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be given in his name to Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, WI and Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA.
