Martin Johnson

Martin W. Johnson, 88, of Black Creek passed away Wednesday evening, September 25, 2019, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay. He was born April 8, 1931, son of the late Martin E. and Selma (Kamke) Johnson.

Martin served in the US Marine Corps from 1951-1953.

On September 5, 1953, he was united in marriage to Donna James.

He worked as a cheese maker the majority if his life until his retirement.

Martin served the Village of Black Creek as clerk, treasurer, and trustee. One of Martin's passions in life was collecting and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed refinishing furniture as he had an eye for detail.

Family was a priority for Martin, as he spent a great deal of time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Martin is survived by his wife, Donna; three sons: Allen (Vicki) Johnson, Gene (special friend, Kathleen) Johnson, and Bruce (Kim) Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Johnson; brothers-in-law: Lee James, Clarence (Mary) James, and Gary (Gail) James.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arlin Johnson; sister-in-law, Judy James; nephew, Dean James.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 5:30 pm with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating with military honors to follow. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
