Marceyln P. Barth

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Marcelyn Phyllis (Finder) Barth, who left this world on April 9th, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on May 8, 1929, in Seymour, Wisconsin.

Marcelyn was the cherished daughter of John and Linda Finder, who instilled in her the values of kindness, perseverance, and love that would shape her life.

A proud graduate of Seymour High School in 1946, Marcelyn embarked on a journey that touched the lives of many. She began her career at AAL shortly after graduation, but it was her partnership with her beloved husband, Harland Barth, that defined much of her life's work. Married on May 20th, 1950, Marcelyn and Harland shared an extraordinary bond, celebrating 75 years of marriage before his passing.

Together, they farmed the land, raised a family, and built a legacy of love and devotion that will resonate for generations. Marcelyn's career was as diverse as it was meaningful. Her roles as a waitress at Chef Bill's, a school bus driver for the Seymour Community District, and a rural mail carrier for the Black Creek area reflected her dedication and tireless work ethic. Yet, it was her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that brought the greatest joy.

Marcelyn's nurturing spirit was a guiding light for her children, Bruce (Susan) Barth and Becky (Glenn) Blahnik, and her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren-Bradley (Emily) Barth, Melissa (David) Enriquez, Ryan Blahnik, and Gina (Samuel) Phelps-and her cherished great-grandchildren, Bryan, Ethan, Elliot, Eva, Maxim, and Hunter. She is also survived by her brother Gary (Janice) Finder.

Marcelyn found strength and solace in her faith, serving as an active member of the United Methodist Church and Emmanuel Lutheran in Seymour, WI. Her commitment to the community was further exemplified through her service as a library board member of the Black Creek Library. In her leisure, Marcelyn found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in solving Sudoku puzzles, seek and find puzzles, and crafting numerous crocheted afghans that warmed both body and soul.

Marcelyn is predeceased by her husband, Harland Barth, her parents, John and Linda Finder, her grandson, Brian Lee Barth, her in-laws George and Arline Barth, and her sister and brother-in-law, Rogene and Merle Gruber.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Shepherd's Inn, part of the Good Shepherd facility, and Compassus Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Marcelyn's final days.

In honoring Marcelyn's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and legacy.
