Lucille Walsh

Lucille (Thelen) Walsh, age 91, Town of Maple Grove, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.

She was born May 28, 1917 to the late Aloysius and Hildagarde (Wink) Thelen.

On October 12, 1935 she marred Clarence Arendt. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1983. She later married Joseph Walsh on September 20, 1984 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1990.

Lucille worked for many years on the farm until it was sold in 1964. She then went to work at Larsen Canning Co., retiring in 1974.

She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Isaar where she was a past president of the Christian Mothers Society. She loved to work out in the yard with her many flowers.

Survivors include: Donald and Diane (Sawicki) Arendt, St. Louis, MO, Joseph Arndt and his special friend Mary Drew, Green Bay, Gene and Betty (Short) Arendt, Green Bay, Al and Virginia (Kobylarczyk) Arendt, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren: Donald Jr., Debra Sparks, and Daniel all of St. Louis, Susan Discipio, Easton, CT., Vance, Columbia, SC, Renee, Dallas, TX, Lisa, Boston, MA, Laura, Chicago, Marianne Morrison, Boise, ID, and Julie Jandric, Green Bay.

Also survived by 14 great grandchildren: Brynn, Mia and Thomas Discipio, Easton, CT, Catherine and Lindsey Arendt, St. Louis, MO, Jennifer and Jessica Sparks of St. Louis, Dylon and Dalton Arndt, Columbia, SC, Sawyer and Madalyn Morrison, Boise, ID, Maggie and Cecilia Jandric, Green Bay, and Grace Stapleton, Boston, MA; 1 step-great granddaughter in Boise, ID, 3 step-great grandchildren, St. Louis, MO, 8 step-great great grandchildren, St. Louis. She is further survived by 2 brothers: Kenneth and Paul Thelen, Viroqua, WI; 4 sisters: Leonarda Zager, Milwaukee, Inez Jaenert, Waukesha, Grace Kirking, Viroqua, WI, and Doris Calloway, Lodi, WI.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends Pat and Mark Weisnicht.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call to Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 4 to 8 PM. A prayer service concluding the visitation will be held at 8 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar, from 11 AM until the funeral mass at 12 noon with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
