Lorraine Luebke

July 16, 1924 — December 20, 2017

Lorraine C. Luebke 93, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Unity Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born July 16, 1924, daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes (Szymanski) Mastey. On September 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lowell Luebke at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. He preceded her in death October 22, 2015. They farmed in the Pulaski area until they retired to Seymour. In 2001 they moved to De Pere to live with her daughter.

Lorraine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Community Church in, De Pere. She was a past member of Christian Women at St. John’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, reading, playing cards and helping her husband with his various jobs.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Ed) Phillips, De Pere; two sons: Bob (Linda) Luebke, Oconto Falls; Gary (Kathy) Luebke, Pulaski; grandchildren: Dawn (Jeff) Brumm, Tami Ohuafi (special friend Jim Lenz), Beth Matzke (special friend Ken Devroy), Jason (Karri) Luebke, and Kelly (Jon) Whitcomb; ten great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson; siblings: Eugene (Vi) Mastey, Leonard (Rose Marie) Mastey, Verna Strupp, Evelyn Lubinski, Geraldine Kuklinski; sister-in-law, June Boettcher.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her son, Jim; brothers: Florian, Norbert, Alvin and John; sisters: Florence Rawlsky, Rita Immel and Isabelle Mastey.

Friends may call at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr. De Pere on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial will take place in the Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery in Pulaski.
