Lawrence Becher

Lawrence "Larry" F. Becher, age 75, passed away on Friday May 9, 2025 at his residence in Appleton. Larry was born on October 25, 1949 to Francis and Rita (Nichols) Becher. Larry graduated from Seymour High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.

Larry liked to keep busy and enjoyed being involved in many activities. He loved taking his daughters fishing and bowling in their younger years, and playing board games, gardening and grilling out in the later years. He was an active member of the community where he lived at in Oneida Heights. He acted as a caretaker of the building, was a floor representative for the apartment building council, and a bingo caller on Thursday nights.

Larry was also an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He helped out with cleaning and putting together weekly bulletins.

Larry is survived by his daughters Tina (Jason) Becher, Lisa (Tim) Becher, and Erin (David) Wichman; grandchildren Django and Jaxon; siblings Mary Valenta, Frank Becher, Alice (Lyle) Burmeister, Marcie Stover, and Ray (Lil) Becher; and special friend Sandy Clark.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, son Glen, grandson Cody, and brother Joe Becher.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 302 N Morrison Street, Appleton on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Matthew Holtz officiating. Memorial visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Larry will be laid to rest privately at a later date. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
