Larry L. Cox, age 77, passed away on August 7th, 2025 at St. Joseph Residence in New London, Wisconsin. Larry was born on August 28, 1947 to the late Raymond and Mildred Cox. He grew up in Appleton and then moved to Shiocton (Town of Maine) where he met his wife Rita (Greely). They were united in marriage in September of 1970 and shared 55 years of marriage together.
Larry is survived by his wife, Rita; son, Corey (Suzy) Cox and their children: Makenna Cox, Jaxon Cox, and Lauren Flunker; daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Hanks and their children: Abbie (fiancé, Tyler) Hanks, Katie Hanks, and Maggie Hanks; sisters: Judy and Linda; brothers-in-law: Charlie Herb and Nelson (Clara) Greely; sisters-in-law: Gloria (David) Knapp, Dawn (Jack) Schmoll and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Cox; brother, Raymond Cox; sister, Sue Chalfont; in-laws: Harland and Donna Giunderson, and Gayle Herb.
Larry proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Hoffmaster in Appleton for 43 years. He enjoyed raising pheasants for many years and collecting toy tractors. He loved old cars and going to car shows, flea markets and auctions but, most of all, the love he had for his family will endlessly be cherished.
Visitation for Larry will take place at Trinity United Church of Christ, W6712 County Rd F, Shiocton, WI on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 3:00pm until the funeral service at 5:00pm with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Military honors will be conducted following the service. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in the town of Maine.
