Seidl, Judith (Judy, "Ma")

Judy "Ma" Seidl, 65, of Oneida passed away on Saturday evening, December 1st, 2007, after a brief, but courageous, battle with esophageal cancer and a long history of kidney disease. Judy was surrounded by her family and friends up until the end.
Judy was born May 22, 1942, to John "Bill" and LaVerne (Reinert) Morgan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay where she was part of the recording of the choir for the album "Christmas in Green Bay."
Judy was united in marriage to Gary "Sarge" Seidl on October 13, 1962. This union resulted in three children, Brian, Kurt, and Traci.
Judy spent many years working alongside her parents at the family-owned grocery store/bakery "Morgan's Store" in Oneida. During this time, she also started to drive school bus for James Bus Lines, where she was able to spread her love of children. Judy learned of a love of food and community while working at the family's store and shared this with many people throughout the years. She was an integral member of the group who began the hot lunch program at St. Joseph's School in Oneida, and worked for both The Shuttle Supper Club and Homestead Supper Club, both in Pulaski, leading the kitchen crews at both establishments for several years.
Judy was very active with her husband and son, Kurt, in modified pitch softball for a good number of years. She provided food and sustenance for teams and tournament-goers in various venues, including campgrounds, concession stands, and sometimes even parking lots. Judy was known to create gourmet four-course meals at a campground for a crew of 70 people for nothing more than a "thank you." Her joy came from knowing that she was providing for others and bringing them together somehow. When not off at some softball tournament, or during the off-season, Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going for long rides to nowhere, and playing slot machines at all local and driving-distance casinos.
Judy will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years, Gary; her mother LaVerne Morgan of Oneida; her children, Brian (Kathy) Seidl of Melbourne, FL; Kurt (Holly) Seidl of Green Bay, and Traci (Brian) Janisch, of Pardeeville, WI; her grandchildren, Joe Ross, Stephen Seidl, Kimberly Seidl, Aubrey Seidl, John Janisch, Jeremy Janisch, and another grandchild on the way; her sister, Jean "Punch" (Tom) Clark of Oneida; brothers-in-law, Jim (Carol) Seidl of Seymour; Cal (Mary) Seidl of Wrightstown; sister-in-law, Jan Mura (and special friend Mike) of Crivitz; as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, John "Bill" Morgan; in-laws, Lenard "Butch" and Marion "Sis" Seidl; and brother-in-law, Ken Seidl.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher funeral home from 4-8pm on Tuesday December 4 2007 with a prayer service at 7:30pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 5 2007 at 11 am St Josephs Catholic Church in Oneida, visitation after 10am Wednesday at the church. Online condolences can be sent at www. Boettcherfuneralhomes.com.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff, medical doctors, and nurses who cared for Judy throughout her dialysis years at DaVita Titletown Dialysis Center and the members of Unity Hospice who assisted Judy in her last days.
