John Forcey

John Charles Forcey, age 59, was born in Neenah, WI on October 13, 1966 to Alice (Johnson) and Donald Forcey.

John attended Neenah High school, where he met the love of his life Dawn Marie Lang and graduated in 1985. After 7 memorable years of dating, John and Dawn got married in 1992. John and Dawn were so excited to buy their first house in Seymour, WI in 1995 and grew to love the small town feel. They welcomed their first child, Ariel, on September 22, 1996. They welcomed their second child, Anna, on June 11, 2001.

John received his Paper Chemistry Degree at Fox Valley Tech in 1992 where he then went to work at Fox River Fiber. In 2001, he graduated from UWGB with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. John went on to work in the insurance industry by joining Lee Nimmer at American Family Insurance. After many successful years, John retired in 2024 from his own American Family Agency in Kaukauna.

He loved working with people, and would often spend hours with his clients.

John was very active in the community, and contributed greatly to the city of Seymour. He served as president of the Chamber of Commerce. He was very instrumental with starting programs such as the Farmers Market, Bike Safety Days and Stuff the Bus for school supplies.

He enjoyed playing golf and watching the Packers and Brewers. He loved Sammy's Pizza and going to supper clubs on Saturday night with Dawn. He spent time outside camping, hunting, and splitting wood. He also loved music, going to concerts with his wife and playing guitar at home. There were many nights out by the campfire in the backyard, listening to music while the kids roasted marshmallows.

Dawn and John took many vacations, whether it be taking the kids to Wisconsin Dells, vacationing in Door County, or camping. In 2017 they ventured to the Porcupine Mountains where they backpacked 2 miles to stay in a rustic cabin.

John is survived by his wife Dawn Forcey; daughters Ariel Forcey and Anna (Keenan) Forcey; brothers Steve (Bonnie) Forcey and Matthew (Heidi) Forcey, and sisters Barb (Russ) Andrews and Mary Jo (Tom) Christ; mother-in-law Sherry Lang; sisters-in-law Lori (Dave) Nett and Kari Ann Lang; and brother-in-law Shawn (Lori Ann) Lang.

John Forcey was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Don Forcey Sr; brothers, Tom Forcey, DJ Forcey; and father in law, Harvey Lang.
