Joan S. Krause, 77, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2007. She was born October 25, 1929 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Weimar and Marie (Hansen) Schroeder. On May 31, 1952, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Krause. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Joan graduated from Pulaski High School including Isaar and Wellhaven and U.W. Stevens Point with a teaching degree. She taught for many years. Joan was a librarian at Pulaski High School, taught choir at St. Edward and Isadore Catholic Church in Flintville, Peace Lutheran Church in Kunesh and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour and taught Vacation Bible School. She worked for Dr. Heinke's office in Seymour, for many years.

Joan was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour and enjoyed music, reading and watching football. Her favorite flower was Lily of the Valley.

Survivors include her children: Bill (Debbie) Krause, Black Creek; John (Amy) Krause, Seymour; Sarah (Greg) Stadler, Black Creek; her grandchildren: Amanda (special friend Jake Pasch), Laci, Brooke and Heather Krause; Julia Stadler; 2 brothers: Jim (Erma) Schroeder, Gillett; Howard Schroeder, Green Bay.

Joan was preceded in death by: her husband, a sister-in-law, Joanne Schroeder; 2 brothers-in-law, Roman Krause Jr. 'Dunk', and Eugene Krause.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 4-8 Tuesday, October 23, and Wednesday, October 24, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour from 10:00 A.M. until services at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Roland Lindeman and Pastor Karin Derenne officiating.
