Jeanette Priebe

Jeanette Audrey "Sissy" (Mohnen) Priebe, 77, Seymour, passed away at home with her family at her side on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. The daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Schroeder) Mohnen was born on November 7, 1943, in White Lake, South Dakota. Jeanette was a 1961 graduate of White Lake School in White Lake, SD. She was united in marriage to Robert Priebe on October 31, 1968, in Deadwood, SD.

Jeanette worked at Shopko from September, 1979, until her retirement on September 1, 2007. She also farmed during her entire career. Jeanette enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and painting. She also enjoyed caring for her cats and the birds. Jeanette found her peace while spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and while vacationing up north.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Robert Priebe; eight children: Barbara (Gene) Behm, Kevin Priebe (special friend, Becky Wickesberg), Kurt Priebe, Lawrence (Michelle) Mohnen, Joseph (Lisa) Priebe, Ricky (Linda) Priebe, Dean (Marcie) Priebe, and Jeffrey (Mindy) Priebe; 29 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mary Vinz, James Mohnen, David Mohnen, Sharon (Bob) Beckmann, Edward Mohnen, Dolores Waters, Paul (Nancy) Mohnen, and Theresa Ishmael; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Merlyn Kettner, Rosalie Mohnen, and Roseanne Mohnen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sanjuana "Jane" Priebe; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman (Gladys) Priebe; and five brothers: John, Gerald, Richard, Leo (Donna), and Philip Mohnen; one sister, Betty Kettner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gene Koch, Warren Vinz, Millie Mohnen, Alan Waters, Grace (William) Bohman, and Jerry (LuAnn) Priebe.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Colonial House Supper Club, N4330 County Rd E, Freedom (Kaukauna). In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family extends a special thanks to Molly, Kim, and Richard of Ascension at home hospice for their compassionate care. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
