BRAUN, JANICE L.

Janice L. Braun, Seymour, age 72, passed away Good Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Seymour following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 21, 1936 daughter of the late Hugo and Esther (Huth) Baehler. On November 24,1956 she was united in marriage to James Braun at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Janice graduated from Seymour High School and attended UW Stevens Point. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was Seymour's Centennial Queen in 1968 and was employed at Seymour Schools and later Chilton Toys until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially following her grandchildren's school activities. She was active in numerous church activities, especially Hi-League, and was a member of the Red Hatters. She really enjoyed her time spent with the weekly swim group, her coffee friends, traveling, and camping with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband James, children Jeffrey (Karen) Braun, Tomahawk, Jonathan (Jodi) Braun, Seymour, Julie Braun, Seymour, Joseph (Barbara) Braun, Pulaski, and her cat Buttons. Grandchildren: Kelly (James) Johnson, Andrew and Benjamin Braun, Jacklyn and Kathlyn Braun. Step-Grandchildren: Heath (Jennifer) Kelly, Jacob (Jaime) Kelly, Sarah (Mitchell) Grossman. Step Great-Grandchildren: Samantha and McKenna Grossman, Josephine and Jasmine Kelly. Also surviving one brother Gerald (Marlene) Baehler, Seymour and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by one brother Robert (Agnes) Baehler.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher funeral home Seymour Monday, March 24, 4:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating.
