James J. Van Boxtel, 56, passed away Tuesday morning, June 5, 2007, at an Illinois hospital following a courageous battle with cancer and was positive to the end. He was born November 4, 1951, the son of Rosella Noe and the late William Van Boxtel, Sr. Jim was a 1969 graduate of Seymour High School and was employed in construction until his illness. He enjoyed doing building projects, especially his trip to Australia to teach his trade; and he enjoyed being around people. Jim was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oneida.

He is survived by his special friend, Carol Henn; two sons, Burt Van Boxtel (special friend, Stephanie), Green Bay; Clint Van Boxtel, Green Bay; one daughter, Elizabeth Kass, Maribel; his mother, Rosella; brothers and sisters: Roger (Carol) Van Boxtel, Waukesha; William Van Boxtel, Jr., Oneida; Judy (Larry) Molina, Green Bay; Nancy (James) Kottke, Iron River, Mich.; Thomas Van Boxtel, Oneida; Sharon (James) Feldkamp, Oneida; Mark Van Boxtel, Green Bay; Carol Ambrosius (Dan), Seymour; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William, Sr.; his sister-in-law, Barbara Van Boxtel; two nephews, Richard Feldkamp and Butch Kottke.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 8, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida, from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Father Willard Vande Loo and Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating.
