Jacqueline L Echtner

Jun 14, 1948 — Oct 6, 2026

Jacqueline "Jackie" Echtner, age 78, formerly of Navarino, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at The Cottages in Shawano, WI. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and endless memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Jackie was born on June 14, 1948, the daughter of Percy Spice and Erna Spice (formerly VanDenElsen). She grew up in the New London and Shawano areas of Wisconsin, where family, friends and community were cornerstones of her life.

On October 18, 1969, Jackie married Raymond F. Echtner in Cicero, Wisconsin. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and community. Jackie devoted much of her life to caring for her family as a loving wife and mother and later brought that same caring spirit to her work in the child care industry.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray, who passed away on May 30, 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Raymond M. and his wife, Kathy, and Brian and his wife, Tina; her grandchildren, Jackson and Jordan; her brothers, James (Nancy), Dean (Romi), and Tracy; her sisters, Lisa (Jim), Pam, Wendy, and Shelley (Steve); her brother-in-law, Robert Echtner (Donna); and her sister-in-law, Jane Shulze (Mike). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

In addition to her husband, Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Thomas, and Shane, and her sister, Diane.

Jackie cared deeply about her family and friends, no matter where they were. She especially enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, whether they were taking a trip together or simply getting in the car and heading out for a drive. For Jackie, the destination was often less important than enjoying quality time with those she loved.

Those who knew Jackie will especially remember her smile and her laughter. She had a way of bringing warmth to the people around her, and her cheerful spirit was one of the things her family and friends loved most about her.

Jackie was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and loved cheering on the green and gold. At home, she found happiness in the simple pleasure of feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She especially loved all things Christmas and enjoyed decorating for the holidays.

Her life was filled with family, traditions, road trips, Packers games, birds in the backyard, laughter, and countless moments that have now become precious memories.

A visitation celebrating Jackie's life will be held on Tuesday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino, Wisconsin. A funeral service will follow the visitation, with a graveside service afterward. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery.

Jackie will be greatly missed, but her smile, her laughter, and the love she gave to her family and friends will remain with them always.
