Ivan Dunbar, age 56, passed away at his home of natural causes on May 19, 2026.

Ivan was born on September 1, 1969 in Bellevue, Washington to the late John Dunbar and Alice (Turk) Dunbar of Seymour WI. Ivan had a deep appreciation for music, his favorite bands and photography. He loved to explore the world and experience new cultures, cuisines and landscapes to enrich his spirit. He found exceptional beauty in Japan and the Japanese people. He also cherished his time with friends and extended family scattered across the country, ensuring others knew how important they were to him.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Dunbar of Green Bay WI; siblings: Meg Dunbar of Washington, Bridget (Joe) Elsen of Seymour WI, Delores (Jeff) McGlachlin of DePere WI, sister-in-law, Susan James Dunbar of Burgaw NC; nieces & nephews: Jennifer (Ross) Tammen of Santee CA, Natalie Elsen of Oshkosh WI, Cory Elsen of Green Bay WI, Melissa Matuszak of Riverside CA, Laura Matuszak (and daughter Laikyn) of Little Chute WI, Dan Matuszak (and son Rian & daughter Sailor) of Menominee Falls WI and Joshua Dunbar of Wilmington NC.

He was preceded in death by his father John Dunbar, brothers Peter Dunbar and David Dunbar.

Per Ivan's wishes there will be no public services.
