Henrietta Joan Cornelius

On August 2, 2026, Henrietta J. (Oudenhoven) Cornelius, age 72 of Oneida, Wisconsin, peacefully began her 'crossing over' journey surrounded by the love of her family.

Born October 7, 1953, Henri dedicated her life to her family and her community. A lifelong resident of Oneida, she was proud to serve the community - dubbed the 'tooth fairy' by a whole generation, she completed her more than 40-years career in the Dental Department at the Oneida Community Health Center - touching the lives of countless community members through her compassion, kindness, and commitment to service.

Henri's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and devoted wife to Francis, and she took immense pride in his accomplishments as a successful small business trucking owner and had special admiration for his remarkable achievement of 40 years of sobriety, a testament to his strength, determination, and commitment to family.

Henrietta was a proud and loving mother to her survivors, children Amelia Cooper, Lisa (Butch) Summers, and Curtiss (Ilea) Cornelius, Jr. She found endless happiness in their accomplishments and was always their greatest supporter, offering encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love throughout their lives. She was also a cherished grandmother and especially supportive to her grandchildren Taylor, Alex, Richard, Regina, Lillian, Katie, Brandon, Kendall, and Garrett . Special nieces & nephew Jessica, Lindsey, Tiera and Ian and many other nieces and nephews made her life full.

Henrietta valued friendship deeply and was grateful for the special people who enriched her life, including Bill and Carrie Stempski, Yvonne White, Ashley Summers, and Angela Grant, whose companionship, laughter, and support meant so much to her over the years. Henri's best friend Dawn, and her god children Melinda and Melissa hold a special place in Henri's life.

Some of her favorite memories were made on adventures across the U.S. or cruising with her loved ones, visiting from Alaska to Aruba and all places in between. Whether it was hiking around Devil's Tower, enjoying a salmon bake or a crab feast, watching whales breach, swimming with dolphins or stingrays, or thrill screaming in an off-road adventure - these were moments she enjoyed to their fullest.

Henri was the all-time Brett Favre fan and cheered for the Green and Gold, no matter if they won or lost. She enjoyed watching from the comfort of home rather than conquering the steep stairs of the stadium. However, she'd walk miles to see the Milwaukee Brewers and her favorite player, #24 'Wild Bill.' Most of all, Henri was a believer that our energy carries forward even if we are not here and in the words of her favorite medium John Edward, she believed "Love doesn't end. It doesn't wait. It just continues."

In keeping with her belief, we too believe she will be greeted on her journey by those who went before her, including her parents Josephine and Paul Oudenhoven, sister Pricilla (Oudenhoven) Leverance, brother Tom Oudenhoven, and beloved son-in-law Brandon J. Cooper, Sr. Additional loved ones include Dodo Nellie, brother-in-law Richard Cornelius, sisters-in-law Gloria Cornelius, Brenda Cornelius, and several aunts, uncles and special cousins.

Funeral services for Henri will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday August 6, 2026 at 5 PM with Ian Nishimoto officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of services. The Oneida Hymn Singers will have a song service at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Henri's name.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Unity Hospice, especially Ashley and Wendy and the staff of Green Bay Oncology, espcially Dr. Wenig and his team.
