Harold Gosda

Harold (Al) Gosda, 80, passed away from a long illness with his family on December 9th, 2025 in The Villages, FL.

He was born in Janesville, WI on November 22, 1945, to Harold and Betty (Carroll) Gosda. and grew up in nearby Milton, WI. Al graduated with a Masters Degree from UW-Whitewater and devoted his life to education by being the Business Manager at Seymour Schools for 23 years.

Al's love for Seymour and game of golf led him to serve many years on the Board of Directors for Crystal Springs Golf Course. He also assisted in the creation of the Seymour Junior Golf Foundation and established the Jeff Gosda Memorial Scholarship in honor of his son.

After retirement, Al was a Snowbird for many years and moved permanently to The Villages in 2023. He enjoyed golf with the Old Bogies, the Billiards Club, woodworking, and The Model Railroad Club. Al liked Rock n Roll music at the squares and playing cards with friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, brothers (Dale and James Gosda), sons Mark and Jeff.

Al is survived by his wife Carol of 52 years; brother Larry Gosda and wife Alice La Valle, WI; son, Bryan Gosda and wife Krista of Kenosha, WI; three grandchildren, Isabella, Olivia, and Aralynne Gosda; three step grandchildren Jaydon, Jolee, and Kaleb Ellis.

Services will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home at a later date.
