Gordon Allen Grosnick

Gordon Allen Erwin Grosnick, age 82, passed away the morning of March 2nd, 2026. Gordon was born on June 2, 1943 in Neenah Wisconsin to the late Walter and Laverne (Luderman) Grosnick. Gordon attended New London High School and graduated in 1962. Gordon enlisted in the Air Force in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1966. Gordon was joined in marriage to Sue Heckenlaible on November 14, 1992. Gordon was employed at Appleton Medical Center for 34 years in various roles. He also drove bus for Seymour School District for several years after retiring.

Gordon was well known for representing Santa in public and private events in the local and Appleton area for nearly 30 years. The joy and wonder he brought to numerous children and families in that time can never be forgotten. It was a service he lovingly provided to all who believed in the miracle of Christmas.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue; children: Cora Schinke, Cheryl (Nathan) Morgan, Cindy (Douglas) Kruse, Pamela (Mike) Iverson, Sarah (Adam) Hicker and Allen (special friend Jessie) Grosnick.

Gordon is further survived by his grandchildren Nicholas (Jenny) Kruse, Nathan Kruse, Courtney (Jason) Evenson, Mackenzie (special friend Andy) Thompson, Sadie (special friend Jared) Schinke, Michael (Laura) Socha, Heather Billups, Douglas (special friend Amanda) Kruse, Genevieve Hicker, and Grant Hicker and great grandchildren Lucas Bailey, Beau Kruse, Colt Kruse, Leda Donlevy, Rylee Donlevy, Bentley Kruse, Jeremiah Edgerly, Madalyn Lensmire, Carson King, Theodore Evenson and Addison Evenson.

Preceded in death by his parents, and great grandchild Kennedy Evenson.

Funeral services for Gordon will be held on Friday March 6, 2026 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating, followed by military honors. Memorial visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Gordon will be laid to rest privately at Highland Memorial Park.
