With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Germaine Hock, age 84 of Isaar. She passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with her family by her side, after fighting stomach cancer for the past few years. She was born on July 14, 1941 to the late Lloyd and Verona Kropp.
As a child she grew up on the family farm building a passion and love for farming and family. From a young child she was full of spirit and determination, which she carried with her through the years, sharing it with her family.
Germaine was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Hock on May 30th, 1960, having celebrated 62 years together. They built a family and life on their farm in Isaar having farmed together for 55 years until they retired.
She was a woman of many talents and loved to share them with her family. She believed in hard work and the rewards that came with it, teaching her family about farming, gardening, cooking and canning to just list a few. She enjoyed spending time going to greenhouses in the spring with her daughters, her gardens and flowers always looked amazing. Her favorite flowers were begonias. You could always count on seeing her alongside her son in a tractor at the farm working land or chopping corn or hay. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, which everyone enjoyed. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, how blessed they all where to have her as a grandma. She knew the perfect recipe for a little bit of mischief and a lot of fun, creating lifelong memories.
After retirement if you didn't find her helping out on the farm, you could find her at the cabin. She enjoyed time out on the lake fishing with Dick and the dogs. She especially enjoyed time in her flowers or vegetable gardens. She loved to share her talents with anyone that needed help. After Dick passed away she enjoyed her dinner and lunch dates with her brother Don, family and friends. Germaine also enjoyed many nights watching the Green Bay Gamblers with Dick and friends. Anyone who knew Germain knew she was always full of spunk and loved to have a good time. Germain enjoyed time with her family the most.
She is survived by her two dogs: Rocky and Sparky; daughters: Beverly (Randy) Olson, Barb (Al Leidel) Hock, and Donna (Jerry) Maass; son, Terry (Gina) Hock; grandchildren: Aprill (Abner) Flores, Kendall (Teddy) Kasper, Katie (Matt) Bohm, Eric (Nikki) Olson, Adam (Sara) Henn, Alise (Bruce Martin) Henn , Ashley (Joel) Walters, Cody (Sam) Maass, Junior (Mariah Rozmiarek) Bedolla, and Whitney Hock; 16 great-grandchildren.
Further survived by her brother, Donald (Cindy) Kropp; a sister-in-law, Betty (Butch) Blohm; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lloyd and Verona (Schmit) Kropp, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hock, brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Dori Kropp; father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry (Marie) Hock; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ken (Barb) Hock; Carl (Carol) Hock; niece, Mary Kropp; great-grandson, Fletcher Henn; great-granddaughters; Adaleena Maass and Hadley Maass.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home from 4pm until the parish prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 18, 2025 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar, from 9:30am until the funeral mass at 11am with Fr. Sengole Dass and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
