Gerald W. Hintz

Gerald "Jerry" W. Hintz, age 86, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born on March 1, 1940, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to the late Wilbert J. and Adeline (Schroeder) Hintz. Gerald proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed old tractors, cars and hit and miss engines. He loved wintering in Florida and traveling the United States after his retirement from K&P Trucking in 2003. Jerry never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Kennard) Hintz whom he married on May 21, 1960; 5 children, Julie (Jeff) Leggett, Shelly (Todd) Fenner, Tom (Arielle) Hintz, Jay (Maranda) Hintz, and Norbert Young; 10 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Claire) Leggett, Ashley (Peyton) Humes, Seth Stephens, Jerrica Stephens, Jarred (Morgan) Hintz, Austin (Sierra) Hintz, Jesse (Michael) Hintz, Isabella Waite, Emily Brown, and Walker Hintz; and 9 great grandchildren, Ellie, Ean, Aubree, Kaylee, Dyson, Colten, Ledger, Ashlyn and Teagan, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and the Foxes.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Erica Hintz; grandson, Ethan Stephens; and father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Lola Kennard.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Satruday, June 20, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where his funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Art Kennard officiating.
